When you’re in your 30’s, your skin doesn’t heal like what it used to, and when I moved from the UK to NYC to further my modelling career, my skin developed the worst acne, which left me feeling insecure and hopeless. 

When you’re a model, the skincare and makeup used on our skin during fashion shoots and fashion shows can be extremely harsh on our skin and overall health, even if you’re doing shoots with Dior, Herve Leger and Project Runway! My skin became extremely sensitive to most products used at work through the years. But there were some key things I did to come through the other side which has inspired me to help other women feel confident in the skin they’re in. 

The ingredients that go on our skin are just as important as those in our food.. So I made it my mission to bring this to life, with my first stop receiving my degree in skincare sciences.
After that, I went on to find Amberlight Beauty, a botanical skincare range, inspired by Baltic Amber which is a healing, anti inflammatory ‘crystal’ which is an ancient tree resin in reality, and ancient knowledge of powerful plants. 

Our aim is to deliver the most healing, nourishing and rejuvenating products with the most active ingredients, that come straight from the earth and that our bodies are most compatible with.

We use organic ingredients where possible, as the integrity of the ingredients are extremely important to us as well as the people behind the ingredient harvest, that's why one of our suppliers are women co op’s in Ghana called ‘Fair Tale’. We are very conscious about our packaging too, as we understand sustainability consequences.

The results have been nothing short of amazing and not only has my skin vastly improved, but my customers has and so has their confidence.
