#threeminutesofbeauty with Kaye Li

We are so honored to have Kaye Li  onboard as our muse and model for Amberlight Beauty campaign! From the first moment you meet this Bahamian beauty @kayelitaylor she wraps you up in her warm smile and so much love. She is a model, entrepreneur, social media guru, activist and a total #amberbabe, because she is extremely mindful and aware about those she is surrounded with and herself.

1. What is beauty for you?

Beauty for me is self love stitched into the fabrics of your self awareness. When you learn to love, respect and value yourself .. You not only teach others how to love you but, you show them too… how to show up for themselves with love and grace.

2. Favorite beauty ingredient, and why?

Eye cream will always be my first love. But, the Amberlight Beauty The Rose In You Beauty Serum is also one of my “can’t live without products”. I have normal to dry skin so, rose oil really helps moisturize and hydrate my skin.

3. Your favorite body part?

Oooooo that's a hard one! My legs, my lips and my booty haha ( #lilbootiesmatter )

4. Is there a special beauty routine you follow that is native to your background?

Yes! Homemade Deep Conditioners and Hair Masks. There is an abundance of Aloe Vera and Hibiscus Flower plants in the Bahamas. So, these were often ingredients in DIY beauty routines.

DIY HAIR MASK/CONDITIONER

Mix the pulp of the aloe, the hibiscus flower, 2-3 tbsp mayo, 1 egg, Jamaican Black Castor oil, EVOO and coconut oil into a bowl/blender.

Then, section and massage the mixture gently onto the scalp and hair.  Leave it in for 30 mins & rinse with your fav conditioner.

These ingredients help with promoting hair growth while thickening and strengthening your hair.

5. Did you pick any beauty rituals from your mom or grandmother?

Aside from keeping my nails and toes cute! My Mama Luv always taught me the importance of exfoliation and getting rid of those dead skin cells. Go invest in a good loofah if you haven’t already. ☝🏾
